Saw this awesome poster design on myspace. It's produced by the Leeds based illustrator Neil Women 158. I also hope to go to the even this Friday at The Faversham. Looks like it'll be fun!

Brief Selections...

I have selected 3 briefs to answer over the next 5 weeks that I have left of 2nd year Graphic Design. They are as follows...

JAZZ BABY..

I've got a growing interest in old skool jazz record and poster design. I recently bought this amazing book of Jazz Album covers rather appropriately named, 'Jazz Covers,' by Taschen.
I liked the type so much this is the typeface that I chose to use on my birthday invitations. Some of the covers date back to the 60's and have such a vibrant retro feel. I'm not much of typographer myself but I love the type layouts and fonts used and then way in which they use colour. Very inspirational!

Party Invite..

These are the two final designs I came up with for my party invites. I chose to print the white in the end however I'm still particularly fond of the black version. I feel it looks better on screen though that how it would if it were printed.
